Koder is an educational platform operated by Toddlers Town Multipurpose Ventures (“Koder”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

Koder provides coding education and learning tools designed to help students learn programming while giving parents useful insight into their child's learning progress.

We collect information that is necessary to provide, secure, improve, and personalize Koder.

1.1 Information You Provide

Depending on how you use Koder, we may collect:

• Email address;
• Country;
• Age;
• Account type or role;
• Password information when you create an account using email and password;
• Information associated with a parent-child relationship;
• Information you provide when communicating with Koder; and
• Information generated through your use of Koder's learning features.

We do not currently require users to provide a phone number, school name, gender, or profile photograph.

Koder may provide users with an automatically generated avatar instead of requiring a profile photograph.

1.2 Google Sign-In

Koder allows users to create or access an account using Google Sign-In.

When you choose to use Google Sign-In, we may receive information made available to us by Google, such as your name, email address, and a unique identifier associated with your Google account.

We use this information to:

• Create or authenticate your Koder account;
• Identify your account;
• Maintain your account and session;
• Provide Koder's services; and
• Communicate with you where necessary.

We only request and use Google information that is necessary for the functionality of Koder.

1.3 Learning and Educational Information

When a student uses Koder, we may collect information about their learning activity, including:

• Number of attempts;

1.4 Information Provided to Koder's AI Features

Koder provides AI-powered educational features.

Students may interact with an AI assistant when they need help understanding a concept, solving a problem, or continuing their learning.

Koder may also analyze relevant learning information using AI to help generate insights about a student's learning progress for the student's parent or guardian.

Depending on the feature being used, information processed by these AI systems may include learning activity, questions, answers, code submissions, progress information, and other information necessary to provide the relevant educational feature.

Koder uses third-party AI technology, including Google's Gemini technology, to provide certain AI-powered functionality.

AI-generated information is intended to support learning and provide useful educational insight. It should not be treated as a substitute for a parent, teacher, professional educator, or other qualified person.

1.5 Automatically Collected Information

When you access Koder, certain technical information may be collected automatically.

This may include:

• IP address;
• Browser type;
• Device type;
• Operating system;
• Date and time of access;
• Authentication and session information;
• Pages or features accessed;
• Basic diagnostic information;
• Error and security logs; and
• Other technical information reasonably necessary to operate and secure the service.

We use this information primarily to operate, secure, troubleshoot, maintain, and improve Koder.

Our current analytics and measurement tools include Google Tag Manager and Vercel Analytics.

3. Children and Parent Accounts

Koder is designed to support children and young people learning to code.

We ask users for their age during registration. Where Koder determines that a user is below the applicable age threshold for independent registration, Koder may require the account to be connected to a parent or guardian.

Parents or guardians may receive information about the child's learning activity through Koder's parent features.

Because Koder processes information relating to children, we take reasonable measures appropriate to the nature of the service to protect children's information.

Koder does not knowingly sell children's personal information.

4. Payments and Subscriptions

Koder may offer paid subscriptions or other paid services.

Payment transactions are processed by third-party payment service providers, which may include:

• Stripe;
• Paystack; and
• Flutterwave.

Koder does not intentionally collect or store complete payment-card information such as full card numbers through its own systems.

Payment information is handled by the applicable payment provider in accordance with that provider's privacy policy and terms.

5. Email Communications

Koder uses Resend to provide email delivery services.

We may use your email address to send:

• Account verification messages;
• Password-reset messages;
• Important account notifications;
• Subscription-related communications;
• Security notifications; and
• Other service-related communications.

We do not use service-related emails as a way to sell your personal information to third parties.

6. How We Share Information

We may share information with service providers that help us operate Koder.

Depending on the feature being used, these providers may include:

• Google, for authentication and related services;
• Google Gemini, for certain AI-powered educational features;
• Stripe, Paystack, and Flutterwave, for payment processing;

Some of the service providers used by Koder may process information outside Nigeria or outside the country in which a user resides.

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

These measures may include secure authentication practices, access controls, HTTPS encryption, and other security measures appropriate to the services we provide.

However, no internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.

Users are responsible for keeping their account credentials confidential and should notify us if they believe their account has been compromised.
